Websites are a piece of cake, right? All you need is some stock photos and words, and you’re ready for business. It’s actually a little more complicated than it seems. From legal disclaimers to telling people what you want them to do when they visit the website, there’s plenty of opportunities for you to make sales or lose leads. Here are 3 things that your website must have:
Call to Action: When someone visits your website, what do you want them to do? Call you? Schedule an appointment? Buy a t-shirt? Tell them what you want them to do and make it easy for them to do so. Put the link to schedule a call at the top or have a pop up to sign up for your email list. Whatever it is you want them to do, it should be easy to follow the directions.
Privacy Policy: The privacy policy page has all your legal disclaimers and information on how the data you collect is used. It will tell them how to unsubscribe, how to contact you, and what happens in the event of legal action. Certain states and countries require other information in the privacy policy page, so make sure you are compliant for wherever your clients are.
A Way to Contact a Real Person: We’ve all been there— something has gone horribly wrong with an automation and we just want to talk to a flesh and blood human. By having a phone number or chat window on your website, you can make sure that you are meeting your customers’ needs no matter where they happen.
Still not sure what you need for your website? Give us a call and we will help you create the best experience for your clients.
