Our original engagement on this website project was just a simple re-design. However, after our discovery meeting and further strategy sessions, the team saw our client was missing a marketing plan and wasn't utilizing any social or digital opportunities to increase their chances of appearing in front of their ideal client. When we took them on they had a Facebook Business Page that was in a poor state, no local business listing on Google, no digital marketing plan, and a very outdated website that was also missing on-page SEO.
Our client wanted a specific color scheme, updated and consistent typography across assets, a few custom icons and a complete style guide to refer to going forward.
Our first two deliverables consisted of the Style Guide and 3 wireframes to guide them on the new website design.
We already knew they were leaning to something in the blue family as their main color. We thought this was appropriate, being this is a plumbing business-blue just fits! The gray and white accents fit well and kept the site and scheme on a modern vibe. The team also recommended two typefaces, both Sans Serif and modern, but not to the extreme. This would make all the text easy to read and allow the messages of trust and down-to-business to shine through their words.
Jakob didn't have any sort of digital strategy for marketing or carving out their niche in the online space. Because the key components were not bad, but just completely missing, we were able to create several strategies to propel Jakob's brand forward. Creating a consistent look for their brand and creating several options to help them get their name out there were first on the list. We also set up their Google Local Business listing and hooked their new website up to Google analytics to help us determine not only where they were currently getting traffic from, but also untapped markets we could target. Using strategies the team created for them, Jakob is currently on the upswing in both business and traffic due to our efforts.
